A sensitive operational site
Copehill Down remained an active training environment throughout the refurbishment. Delivery had to respond to security clearance, restricted access, changing training schedules, adverse weather and the need to avoid disruption to military activity.

Selected rainscreen system
The new façade used Rockpanel Natural Stones panels in a sandstone finish with a Fastframe support system, Rockwool Rainscreen DuoSlab insulation, open-state Corofil cavity barriers and a ventilated cavity. The specification balanced certified fire performance with a durable architectural finish.

Coordination and delivery
Daily communication with site personnel allowed logistics and working areas to adapt around live operations. The team maintained site controls and completed the work on time and within budget despite the exposed and highly controlled setting.
