01
The project requirement
The existing profiled metal roof required targeted refurbishment rather than wholesale replacement. The scope addressed deteriorated sheet laps and edges, selected roof sheets and rooflight interfaces while retaining serviceable areas of the roof.
02
Access and site setup
The works were planned around safe roof access, recoverable internal safety netting, MEWP access and perimeter edge protection. A pre-start survey confirmed the existing profile and replacement sheet requirements.
03
Roof refurbishment works
Local roof sheets and GRP rooflights were replaced where required. New weathering details, sealants, fixings, fillers and adjoining sheets were coordinated to reinstate reliable interfaces.
04
Cut-edge corrosion treatment
Affected lap areas were cleaned and prepared before proprietary lap sealant, base coat and top coat were applied to protect exposed sheet edges and provide a uniform completed treatment.
